Pyromation Thermocouple Type KK 24"

Pyromation KK43U-024-05A-6HN49 is a GP02 Type KK fixed-sheath thermocouple assembly with general-purpose connection heads. Head mounting fittings are welded or brazed to the sheath for direct immersion into a process. Type KK thermocouples are recommended for continuous oxidizing or neutral atmospheres and are mostly used above 1000 Deg F (538 Deg C).

They are subject to failure if exposed to sulphur. Preferential oxidation of chromium in positive leg at certain low oxygen concentrations causes green rot and large negative calibration drifts most serious in the 1500 to 1900 Deg F (816 to 1038 Deg C) range. Ventilation or inert sealing of the protection tube can prevent these issues.

This is a type KK duplex thermocouple, ungrounded junction, has a sheath length of 24 inches and 1/8" NPT fittings. It also has a flip top aluminum head, Sheath diameter and material: 1/4" Alloy 600, and head mount fitting: 1/2" X 1/2" NPT hex nipple.
