The Protection Controls SS100A Flame Pak Amplifier plug-in electronic sensing unit provides immediate response via the flame rectification principle. Sensing is achieved either by either a flame rod which creates a DC signal to the Flame Pak, or by the P-C II UV Scanner in which a DC signal is developed by an ultra-violet (UV) sensitive tube. In either system, if the signal from the flame to Flame Pak is interrupted, the circuit to the fuel valves is broken, and can energize an alarm circuit if required.
The Protection Controls SS100A Flame Pak Amplifier has a standard 2 to 4 second flame response time. Commonly used with Protection Controls ACF Relay and SS3CP Transformer Components.
